“We know that God hears our prayers,” he declared.
In a telephone call with evangelical leaders on Wednesday, President Trump thanked everyone who prayed for him after recovering from the coronavirus. He focused on those affected by the pandemic on a “Call to Prayer” last week hosted by his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.
“Every family who lost a loved one… I just want to say an extra special prayer,” President Trump said. “I want to give my warmest sympathies to families that have lost someone, and I’ve lost many friends… five friends.”
The president said, “We know that God hears our prayers; we have no doubt about it. He’s always with us and he’ll always help us to overcome this challenge. I just want to thank everybody and I want to thank God for working miracles, and I ask God for the wisdom and grace to lead our country and to lead it at the top level.”
Those who participated in the telephone call include Darryl Strawberry, Paula White-Cain, Daystar’s Joni Lamb, televangelist James Robison, and Rev. Samuel Rodriguez. Strawberry praised President Trump as a “fighter” and a “warrior,” comparing him to Joshua, saying this nation needs to be “strong of good courage.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump and his relationship with leaders from the community of Christians.
- For the President and his family as they continue their recovery from the coronavirus.
- For God’s protection over the president and over candidate Joe Biden and those with them as they continue on the campaign trail.
